For many outdoor signs we use MDO, which is a sign grade plywood bonded with a special type of overlay. It is moisture resistant and durable, making it an excellent material for standard long term outdoor signs.

For more custom projects like sandblasted signs or engraved signs, we love using redwood!  Soft enough to create that desired texture look, but strong enough to last a long time outdoors.
